Experimentation is a part of creativity. While I am not a jewelry maker or designer, I believe Damascus is a great medium for jewelry and have tried my hand at creating these small works of art.
Some of the items on display were given to my wife and my mother. Others were experiments and I learned some valuable lessons. The bracelet for instance is quite heavy and rusted a little on the inside. I learned to make it thinner and to coat the inside. The pen is a work in progress; milling out the inside to fit the pen mechanism is quite tricky but I will keep trying. |
